Services Offered By Achieve Pediatric Therapies in Orlando, Florida

Applied Behavior Analysis Therapy (ABA) ABA is a method of therapy used to improve or change specific behaviors. Therapy focuses on replacing one type of behavior with a more appropriate behavior using rewards, reinforcement and consequences. In addition to training parents and care-givers, ABA therapy works to develop new skills, shape and refine previously learned skills, and decrease socially significant problem behaviors.

Occupational Therapy (OT) Pediatric OT focuses on helping children and teens develop the skills they need to grow into functional and independent adults. When working with children, occupational therapists use purposeful activities to assist children in performing their childhood “occupations” of play, learning, socializing, and self-care activities. Using play-based activities to motivate children, OT helps to improve fine motor, cognitive, sensory processing, play, social/emotional and daily self-care skills.

Physical Therapy (PT) Pediatric PT specializes in treating and caring for toddlers, babies, children, teenagers and young adults. The goal of pediatric PT is to improve movement and gait patterns, reduce pain, restore function, recover from injury and prevent disability. When working with children, physical therapists use play-based activities and exercises that help children increase their strength, range of motion, flexibility, balance, endurance, coordination and motor skills.

Music Therapy Music Therapy is the clinical & evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship. Music therapy interventions can address a variety of health & educational goals to promote socialization, express feelings, build confidence, and improve memory, communication and motor skills.
